Puberty is a much anticipated stage of life for the pre-teen. boys and girls either wait eagerly or in dread for the changes that lie ahead. Through the growth and development presentations given to the boys and girls, it is my intent to be a partner with parents to provide factual information in a safe and open environment.
These presentations are never intended to be “the Talk.” However, it is my philosophy to answer “age appropriate” questions openly and honestly. Any questions which are deemed inappropriate for the age level of the entire group are directed to parents or answered in a one on one setting with the student posing the question.
I encourage kids to talk parents about questions they have, and to come to me or another trusted adult for the things they can’t. Nothing I say will be as important as the example you set and and the expectations you have for your child.
